Toyo Tires is the short version of Toyo Tire Corporation, a multinational company that makes rubber products and tires and is based in Itami, Japan. Its marketing and sales subsidiary was launched in the US in 1966 and came to be known as Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp while being headquartered at Costa Mesa, California. Some of the attributes that have made this company popular are innovative design and engineering, great quality, excellent service, and top-class performance.

Toyo products are largely made in the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Bartow County, Georgia and the same is likely to be true of the Observe GSI-6 product line. Being a studless winter tire, they provide tremendous braking performance and traction on snowy, icy, and dry roads and have been certified as per Three Peak Mountain Snowflake. To ensure you face zero troubles during the cold, go through this Toyo Observe GSI-6 review.

    Features and Benefits

The Toyo Observe GSI-6 is a studless winter tire that has been manufactured for use on SUVs, CUVS, sedans, and sports coupes, ensuring that the weather doesn’t prove to be a hindrance in their performance. We found the tires during the Toyo Observe GSI-6 tire review to not just grip on snow and ice, but also on slush and water. Given below are the various features and benefits of this unique winter tire:

    • High wet grip- This tire is made using a special silica compound that enhances wet grip and braking abilities in lower temperatures.
    • Special winter tread design- The tread pattern and the grooves on this tire have been designed specifically for excellent grip in cold conditions.
    • Great traction in snow- The serrated stability rib on this tire is responsible for enhancing traction in snowy conditions. Apart from the above, the tire’s microbit technology with ground walnut shells bite and dig into snow and ice to further enhance traction.
    • Certified for winter use- These tires have been Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certified for extensive use in moderate to severe winter conditions. Additionally, an absorbent carbonic powder made using bamboo can absorb the thin moisture film on winter roads for consistent traction.
    • Excellent braking performance- Large paired inner tread blocks and advanced sipes on these tires are able to improve traction and ensure excellent braking performance, preventing vehicles from skidding uncontrollably.

SimpleTire’s view on Toyo Observe GSI-6 tires

Toyo has built the Observe GSI-6 to suit several vehicle segments and applications, for which subtle variations were made in the construction and design as per light trucks, SUVs, and CUVs. The combination of silica and a new high grip polymer keeps the tire flexible in colder temperatures while also enhancing wet traction. The presence of a unique serrated design that digs into slush and deep snow for cold weather traction leads to a high Toyo Observe GSI-6 rating. All-in-all, these tires provide a great mix of on-road and off-road traction, with large inner blocks providing stability at highway speeds. 2"+ of fresh snow these cannot handle. They just cannot cut through. Ice performance is just as unimpressive. Dont bother with these tires.
